I doubt the veracity of the spacesuit comment (probably because I worked EVA for eight years). Passing gas is only uncomfortable for someone trapped in the environment for 8+ hours (and inevitable if you drop the body's pressure down to <4 psia).

Vomiting in the suit, however, is potentially deadly. Don't do it.
