Soothing Sunday 14

Christmas is almost upon us and on this edition of Soothing Sunday I would like to set aside all the jokes I make about the little town I live in and show you one of the best things about where I live. Yes, I know these are country people on tractors, but the sense of community is so wonderful. This teeny tiny little town gets visitors from as far away as New Jersey, ( far right? Hahah), and everyone has the spirit of Christmas and there is tons of candy thrown to all the kids and I don’t think, no I know, you will never enjoy a parade as much as what we have every year. Enjoy my home town Christmas parade.

Don't you just love it? Seems like if one is fed up with p.c. and bullshit those are the places to be. Just pure simple fun...

I'd hate to have a parade here at Christmas time! Yikes it's cold here right now -45 with windchill!

I love the parades at christmas!Watching all the kids having those big smiles on their faces and running to get that piece of candy.HA!HA! I'm not to sure about the weather though. We have the most screwed up weather here in NC. Just last week,it was thursday. Anyway it was cold, and it only got to (I think)37.The next day,it was in the lower 60's.Now how screwed up is that.It is hard to buy sweaters, jackets,or coats when the day is like 60 degrees.Just looking at those makes me hot.

I've always wondered why you appear so sophisticated and worldly, and now I know why.

What a nice parade! I liked the old car. A 1949 chevy missing the bottom teeth of its grille. So cool. And everything else.

I'd love to have a tiny farm in a tiny town. I just worry about overly religious communities. Before you know it, folks are playing with snakes, rolling on the ground and talking to angels. All of which is fine, as long as its done within the confines of a parade float

I was going to give parades as presents to all my friends too...
