Soothing Sunday 12

Good morning all. I hope you have had coffee, or tea, or something stronger if you wish, for today will be the last day of the Carlsbad Cavern tour. I truly hope you have enjoyed it and maybe one day you will actually visit. It is so much more than pictures could ever do justice to. I will show you a few more photos of the cave and then finish off with the highlight of the cave tour, if people wanted to stay. We did and loved it.

Just as dusk began we all gathered on the seats of the amphitheater and watched as what we thought were a few bats at a time coming out of the huge entrance we had walked into just 4 hours earlier. It was not until you looked to the sky that it hit you just how many bats there actually were in the cave. It was a magnificent sight, one I will never forget.

You can click on the pictures to see them better. Well that's all folks. Now I have to see what next Sunday will bring.

You must have been considerably amazed to have seen all those bats coming from where you'd just been...eeew!

Bat shit at sundown. I can think of nothing more romantic... Maybe it's my lack of imagination. Glad you had fun though.

I love the bats!

Very nice photos. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Some more great pictures. Thanks.

Once again, some of them are very sexual. Although, not all of them are this time (that disappoints me).

I would go visit, but judging from your pictures you probably have to leave the city to do so. That makes me nervous.

they mustve seen the bat signal and were off to fight crime!

noname, it was really amazing. Since then I have not been afraid of bats. I loved seeing this cave.

Don, the bats left the shit in the cave. What would be romantic to you?

Reffie, you have been here for the whole tour. Thank you for bearing with me.

Joel, I am sorry about the sexuality not being there this time. I will try to do some with you in mind. Yes, we had to leave the city. Actually there is hardly anything where the caves are. If you did not know better, you would swear you were in no man's land.

Nooter, my thoughts exactly!

I'd love to see them one day, especially the bats at a safe distance, but I don't imagine I'll ever be likely too. Next best thing though, seeing all your photos.
